Serve, Rally and Play

 

HERODOTOU Tennis Academy's Serve, Rally and Play Program is designed to turn adult beginners into good recreational tennis players.

You’ll enjoy one hour lessons with our certified tennis coaches. Participants will learn the basics of tennis including the serve, forehand, backhand and net play for singles and doubles featuring a “Rally and Play” approach. Before you give us your full trust in making you a good senior (recreational) player we could give you a way to evaluate yourselves according to the following chart for SENIOR players:

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER - First contact with the tennis game. First time on-court; no previousJamie Seniors Champs lessons; without any tennis experience.
 
BEGINNER - This player has played some tennis, but needs instruction on basic techniques.
 
ADVANCED BEGINNER - This player is learning to keep the ball in play, but needs to improve court positioning and consistency.
 
LOWER INTERMEDIATE - This player can play singles and doubles, but needs to improve net play and basic tactics.
 
INTERMEDIATE - This player has dependable strokes, but lacks depth and variety.  This player lacks consistency when trying for power.
 
ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE - This player is developing the use of lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys, and is seldom out of position in singles or doubles.
 
ADVANCED PLAYER - This player has begun to hit with power, spin, depth and control and can move into a net position with some success in singles and doubles.

 

 

Cardio Tennis

 

Another speciality of Herodotou Tennis Academy is CARDIO TENNIS. Cardio Tennis is a fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high-energy workout. Cardio Tennis includes a warm-up, cardio workout and cool down phases. If you want to find a great new way to get in shape, burn 500 calories in a single workout and have a viable alternative to visiting the fitness facilities for a cardio workout, you must try HERODOTOU Tennis Academy’s Cardio Tennis. Cardio Tennis is recommended to supplement a player’s regular tennis routine. We urge adult players to perform initial helth check by specialist and if necessary and as precaution, to use heart rate monitors during Cardio Tennis lessons.
